The first round of the "Battle of the Beaucoup" went to Pinckneyville as the Panthers defeated the Du Quoin Indians 83-79 in triple overtime. Drew Dudek led the Panthers with 23 points. Other scorers included Nathan Morton, 17 points; Shay Kellerman, 10 points; Jake Bathon, 4 points; Taylor Pyatt, 15 points and Kyle Lamb, 8 points. The Pinckneyville Panthers extended its record to 2-0 with a 51-26 thrashing of Waterloo-Gibault Dec. 4. Drew Dudek led the team with 16 points. Kyle Lamb was also in double figures with 12 points.
