HEARTBREAKER: PANTHERS FALL SHORT IN REGIONAL
The Pinckneyville Panthers battled back from a 15-2 deficit to take the lead in the fourth quarter against the Du Quoin Indians for the first time but couldn't hold on to it. Du Quoin won the regional final 46-44 and advances on to sectional play in Harrisburg next week. The Panthers (20-9) were led in scoring by Chris Shopinski with 14 points. Steve Brueggeman added 11.
