The Perry County Sportsmans' Club, quiet the past couple of years, is making noise again. The group recently held a meat shoot and has two more planned -- a shotgun competition Feb. 28th and a .22 calibre event March 14th -- at its clubhouse on White Walnut Road immediately north of Bowl's Bottom Road. The money raised at these events funds its annual Kids' Fishing Day (set for May 16th) as well as dispersed to other non-profit organizations to promote conservation and safe hunting practices.
